The State of Illinois is pleased to announce the Illinois ENERGY STAR Appliance Rebate Program, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO).
This program provides incentives for Illinois consumers to replace older appliances with specific residential ENERGY STAR qualified appliances, water heaters, and HVAC equipment.
The new appliances must be purchased in Illinois through participating retail stores or contractors.
Illinois' program will be rolled out in two phases:
Starting January 31, 2010, consumers can get point of purchase rebates on qualifying heating and cooling equipment through participating contractors and water heaters at participating retailer as long as funding lasts.
Point of purchase rebates on ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers and room air conditioners will be available for items purchased from participating retailers during April 16 - 25, 2010.
